    Protein Cookie Dough Bites

Cookie dough but make it healthy! These no bake cookie dough protein bites are packed with protein and fiber, are low sugar but will still satisfy your sweet tooth. Did your mom always shoo you away from eating raw cookie dough because of the danger of raw eggs? Raise your hand if you ate it anyways! Alas, this edible protein cookie dough contains zero eggs and is ready and safe to eat as soon as all the ingredients are combined. Eat straight outta the bowl, as energy balls or even shape into cookie dough protein bars. So good!

These energy bites make the perfect snack and are made up of simple ingredients that you can feel good about and that make you feel good! Each one of these little bites contains 3 grams of protein, 4 grams of healthy fats and 2 grams of fiber, and only 5 grams of net carbs, making them a perfect low carb treat.

Here's the simple ingredients you'll need to make this delicious, yet healthy protein cookie dough recipe.

Ingredients to Make These Cookie Dough Protein Bites

Natural Peanut Butter: We're looking for the drippy peanut butter that you've gotta stir. The ingredients label should say just peanuts and salt. Pick crunchy or smooth, whatever your preference. Don't like peanut butter or have an allergy? Easily swap out to your favorite nut butter such as almond butter and these will still be delicious.

Pure Maple Syrup: Added for some natural sweetness and to keep these bites refined sugar free. Another easy swap is honey if you don't have maple syrup on hand.

Protein Powder: Use your favorite vanilla whey protein powder. I happened to have iheartmacros cookie dough protein powder which is the absolute best protein powder. Don't worry though, vanilla will be delish too. Prefer plant-based protein powder? Easily swap out whey for a vegan vanilla protein powder.

Oat Flour: This can be a bit harder to find at your local grocery store, but check out bulk bins at natural grocers or snap up some Bob's Red Mill Oat Flour. You can even make your own oat flour by blending old fashioned oats (not steel cut) in a high powered blender or food processor. Oat flour adds in a healthy dose of fiber and protein too.

Flaxseed Meal: Meal is just finely ground flax seeds. This adds in more fiber, protein and omega-3's. Yes please! Again, to save money, check your bulk bins at natural grocers and only buy the small amount you need.

Coconut Flour: This adds a yummy flavor and that's right...more fiber! Remember the bulk bins tip here too.

Chia Seeds: These tiny little seeds are the top plant based source for omega-3's. They are also packed with insoluble fiber and protein, keeping you satiated.

Unsweetened Almond Milk: I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk, but feel free to use your favorite nut milk or dairy milk of choice here.

Mini Chocolate Chips: We all know the best cookie is chocolate chip, so these are pretty much essential to a cookie dough protein ball recipe. For dairy-free, consider the Enjoy Life brand.

Sea Salt: This adds the perfect balance of sweet and salty that you'd find in cookie dough but with a healthier twist here.

Keep these on hand for a quick post-workout snack or go-to as a healthier dessert option to swap for actual cookies.
